Yin Yoga is an inward practice used to build awareness of the body and breath, creating non-attachment and contentment. Therefore, how one practices is much more important than what one practices. In Yin Yoga, we practice mindfully with attention and intention.
During this 3-hour workshop, we will explore the Yin poses through the use of props as supports. Students will discover which props work best for them, how to facilitate moving props as the body opens, and how to vary a pose to accommodate their specific body needs. Additionally, awareness of the benefits of each pose will be given as we explore the poses.
